Diversity

Over the past few weeks in my management class we have had the opportunity to talk about diversity in the classroom and how important it is to embrace everyone's background. Part of creating a comfortable and open classroom environment is embracing where every one comes from in the class. It is so important to me that as a future educator I am constantly working to make my students feel at "home" in my classroom and feel as if they are able to share their background with our class. I appreciate as a teacher that I am able to experience all walks of life through the children that enter through my door. We will look at these differences as not a barrier but rather just more reasons to celebrate in the classroom!
