The First One Does the Talkin', The Second One Goes A Walkin'

This year I was really nervous about having both classes and an internship! I really did not know what to expect and was hesitant because I thought they would both be so much work on top of each other. It is crazy because I feel like my classes have been so similar to what I am seeing in my internship. It almost seems like it has been planned! In my Emergent Literacy class we ahve learned about phonemic awareness and the developement of literacy. Since my internship is in first grade, I am seeing this play out in my classroom. This past week we learned about long vowels and how vowels sound when put together. Before I even had the chance to say it one of my students shouted, "The first one does the talking and the second one does the walking!" It was really cool to actually hear the exact same thign I had heard in my classes.
